Air Global (AIIR): A Profitable Tobacco Business With New Growth Opportunities
Air Global (AIIR) is building on its established position in the global hookah tobacco market to expand into faster-growing nicotine products. With a profitable core business, a growing portfolio of products and shares trading below $8, we think this recently public company offers an interesting opportunity for investors seeking exposure to the evolving tobacco industry.
Air Global is a leading producer of flavored shisha, the molasses-based tobacco used in hookahs. The company operates across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, giving it an established international presence.
Unlike traditional cigarette manufacturers, which have faced persistent declines in consumption, Air Global’s core business has demonstrated considerable stability.
Between 2018 and 2025, the company’s shisha volumes grew at a compound annual rate of 0.4%, according to Roth Capital. That compares with an average annual decline of approximately 6% in U.S. cigarette volumes over the same period.
While that isn’t rapid growth, it demonstrates the resilience of Air Global’s core business in a tobacco industry facing changing consumer preferences.
More importantly, the company generates substantial cash flow that can support expansion into new product categories.
In 2025, Air Global’s shisha business generated $396 million in revenue and approximately $158 million in adjusted EBITDA. That represents an adjusted EBITDA margin of nearly 40%, reflecting the profitability of its established operations.
We see that as one of the company’s biggest strengths. Rather than depending entirely on new products to generate revenue, Air Global has an existing business that can help fund its growth strategy.
The company is now using that financial foundation to pursue opportunities in vaping, nicotine pouches and electronic hookah technology.
In July 2026, Air Global made a $20 million preferred-equity investment in Greentank, a company specializing in vaporization hardware and technology. The investment gives Air Global a potential foothold in a new product category while supporting its broader expansion strategy.
Another opportunity is OOKA, the company’s charcoal-free electronic hookah device. By offering an alternative to traditional charcoal-heated hookahs, OOKA could help Air Global expand its product lineup and reach additional consumers.
The company is also investing in OOKA-branded nicotine pouches and vapor products, providing additional ways to participate in nicotine categories beyond traditional shisha.
We think this diversification is important. Air Global already has an established brand and international distribution presence, and expanding into adjacent products could create new sources of revenue without abandoning the profitable business that supports its operations.
The stock’s valuation and recent market debut add another interesting element.
Air Global went public in May 2026 and currently has a market capitalization of approximately $1.2 billion. Shares trade around $8, leaving investors with an opportunity to gain exposure to the company’s expansion strategy relatively early in its public-market history.
Roth Capital also sees substantial upside.
On October 21, Roth initiated coverage of Air Global with a Buy rating and an $11.50 price target, implying approximately 55% upside from the previous day’s closing price.
Roth analyst Nick Anderson highlighted the company’s potential to use its established shisha business, brand recognition and cash generation to compete in flavored vaping and nicotine pouches.
The firm also sees favorable pricing opportunities in shisha compared with traditional nicotine categories, supported by stronger margins throughout the supply chain.
Of course, there are risks to consider.
Tobacco and nicotine products face significant regulatory scrutiny, and restrictions on flavored products or indoor smoking could affect the company’s growth plans. Some U.S. states already require special permits for establishments serving hookah, while the regulatory environment for vaping and nicotine pouches continues to evolve.
Air Global’s newer product categories are also still developing. Its investments in Greentank and OOKA offer potential growth opportunities, but the company will need to demonstrate that it can successfully translate those investments into meaningful revenue and profits.
Still, we like the combination of an established, profitable business and several opportunities for expansion.
Air Global generated nearly $400 million in shisha revenue last year, with adjusted EBITDA approaching $160 million. Its international footprint provides an existing foundation, while investments in electronic hookah devices, vaporization technology and nicotine pouches could broaden its revenue base over time.
At around $8 per share, we think Air Global offers an attractive speculative growth opportunity. The company’s strong core profitability, expanding product portfolio and potential to enter faster-growing nicotine categories make it worth considering for investors comfortable with the risks associated with the tobacco industry.
